Anyone else having issues with SSE? Some months ago we were in a position where they owed us around £1000 but things were simple, they had meter readings for a defined period so it should have been easy to calculate the exact amount they owed and make payment. That would have brought us upto date and that date would have been one of their scheduled meter read dates.

No chance. So far I've had numerous paper statements each cancelling the previous one. They have also paid the money twice :-) Today they have sent another statement asking for around £500 back. I'll now have to sit down and work out why they haven't asked for all of the overpayment back, I expect they have they another error.
  1.
They (SSE) initially owed me about £4K in FITs as they were so late in paying but when I asked for the Manager's full name so I could put him on the court summons, I got the money within 2 days. Now they pay within 3 weeks of getting the readings.
It's just that SSE are a big company but don't (yet?) have procedures for correcting FIT mistakes and because it is a big company no-one can take the initiative, so nothing gets done (unless they have a special incentive).
    Good Luck

so far been ok , I'll let you know re. 30/9 reading and payment.

Just over 2 years now. Aside from taking almost 4 months to complete the registration process all has gone well. The last 2 payments came through in around 3 weeks. So, probably okay once you get the account on to an even keel?

My experience was similar to skyewrights: slow first payment -- but I'd fallen into the gap between ROC and FiT registration so was pleased & surprised to get *anything* when the first 9 months FiT arrived :-) Since then it's been reliable.

I was given an offset Payment Schedule before the March reading changing it to end/April, July, October, January (with a 5 day reading deadline). I use web submission which looks noddy but received payments on the 23rd May and 22nd August.

I'm happy (with SSE -- I could do with more Sun!).

No problems with SSE on an established account. Delays on a new one (at work).

    Still having problems with SSE.

Today they called me to ask why I had sent them a cheque. I pointed out that perhaps it had something to do with the invoice they sent me which I had photocopied and attached to the cheque!

Then an hour later the post arrived. This time they have sent another cheque for nearly £600 with no explanation!
