Hello, I'm renovating an old stone house and want to install central heating from a Deville cooker (designed to do so!). Must I add a hot water tank. I'd rather leave the hot water as it is and just add radiators.

    Hello Amanda and welcome

Could you describe your existing domestic hot water (DHW) system to us - what does it run on (gas /electric, what size is it (how much heat does it provide in KW) what is it?

Have you/do you plan to insulate and draft proof your house very well (someone will ask soon enough so may as well get it out the way now).

Are you aware of the vast quantities of well seasoned wood you will probably require to run you heating and cook at controlled temperatures.

There are a number of threads on the forum on stoves such as this one: http://www.greenbuildingforum.co.uk/newforum/comments.php?DiscussionID=162 so have search.
