    I have just taken delivery of my roof insulation, 175mm Platinum Warm squeeze for between the rafters. I was originally going to use another 45mm platinum board under the rafters, but as the house is 1 1/2 storey i need as much headroom as possible. I have looked at fitting Airflex instead of the 45mm board, it has alot lower U value aswell.

    What do you think?

    How rich are you? Once the room is built you will have a room -- thoughts about the small ammount of additional space will disappear.

    Just looked at the airflex BBA. The fact that it has certification is a good thing and I would say that it is likely to perform better than the stated Thermal Resistance value.

    Worth putting in anyway as it will reduce air leakage, though polythene will do this part just as well
