Ten years ago after lots of research we went with western companies who manufactured in china to western reliability and labour standards - no issues to date.

I had 3.6 kWs-worth of their panels installed Nov 2011 and have had no problems with them.

(The Aurora inverter (not by REC) did pack up after 5 years, apparently due to insufficient copper on the pcb track to one of the relays.
