About to embark on a small villa build and pool in Spain. What is the best green way to manage and keep the pool safe and clean. e.g. Ultraviolet?

    Hey CionMac,

Check out this website, they show examples that all look like ponds on the site but I've spoken with the guy and they can design them to look like traditional pools, infinity pools anything you like really. We are looking at the possibility of installing an indoor one on a project I am currently working on.

I've heard you can make salt water pools that need less chemicals.

    Salt water pools.
Yes great, just as long as they are in ground (as opposed to above ground type) which you would certainly have for indoor.

    Best energy saver for pool:
Pentaire Intelliflo pool pump. It will save between 60 and 90% of pumping energy. I have one and measured about 70% saving compared with standard pool pump.
The pump is more expensive. It contains a flow meter, and power meter, and small computer that works out ideal flow to get max flow for min energy.
Not sure if available in Spain or Europe but this pump is so good I would import it if need be. It is 220v anyway.
