Hi there, I'm building a 20 square meter wooden garden studio on a concrete base - it's one room with a mezzanine, additionally there is a small loo off to one side.
It's in my garden in the south of France, on the side of a hill, in a forest.
In another year or two I plan to build a 8 x 4 meter swimming pool adjacent to the studio.

I have mains electric available and well water for the pool, however, I would like to try to heat the studio and pool (and possibly cool the studio) with an alternate energy source.

The studio will mainly be used as an artists studio but will have a bed on the mezzanine for the occasional guest
I would like underfloor heating (preferably)
    I'd need lighting
light use of a hifi or computer
hot water for the shower (light use)

The Pool would need to run the filters and heat the water
and some lighting - Mains electric will be available as a backup.

I could put panels on the side of the hill (west facing)
I suppose that we could dig holes for some kind of heat pump when the pool hole is made...
It does get quite windy here but thankfully not all the time

I know a little about the various technologies but was hoping that someone may be able to point me in the right direction
and suggest the size of installation I need? My budget for now is flexible I guess...
Solar? Photovoltaic? Wind? Heat pump? etc.

    thanks

    Peter

Solar water heating for the pool if you want to heat it. How about a natural pool -- no chemicals?
