    And +1 to Simon's & Mike's comments. If only we could make district heating work as well as e.g. the Danish!

    Interested to see Octopus were briefly 'selling' power for minus 1p/kWh this morning during record wind generation, and for plus 30p/kWh this evening.

    Will also be interesting to see if that kind of price difference is enough for utilities to start seriously building storage, or if the daily price swings will have to be even greater before that happens...?

    Makes me glad I took Tony's suggestion and went with weather comp :bigsmile: - We run on line C.

    The house does takes longer to warm up if we've been away but you switch it to a different curve if necessary.

    Djh, yep, trying to explain to tenants how to get best out of the boiler is a pointless task, i can set the temps, get the “ learning room stat” going and explain that you just need the heating to come on half an hourearlier until i’m blue in the face , dead and buried. Won’t make a jot of difference.
