We paid a small fortune for some basic testing for salts and nitrates...

We are thinking of making our own cheaper alternative. How can we test for nitrates within floor sample or salts?

The Protimeter kit uses 'chloride' tablets but I can't seem to find the makeup of these tablets or how I can make my own?

Any ideas for the above please?

From the photos, Protimeter seem to use Palintest tablets. This site details their chloride tablets: https://testallwater.co.uk/products/palintest-chloride-chloridol-tablets There's lots available on amazon.
