Female employment in construction is much more common (30% +) in many other cultures including in SE Asia.

So there seems to be a genre of YouTube videos out there where Asian women are videoed doing their jobs and then released for Western audiences to gawp at (remember that YouTube pays video makers per view for channels like this, probably rather more than the construction workers are getting paid!).

You are correct but in fact, I was looking at a YouTube vid on a completely different topic and on the side, was a list of interesting looking 'building' vids. The first I watched was building a house in the forest using only discarded pallets.

Then this looked like and interesting build, a house over the water. My thread title was only because I was amazed that two women were doing all the hard work, or certainly as it appears in the video. And as the title says, my wife would not be doing this and would be most insistent that if it were me, I should at the very least, be wearing gloves!]]>
