    Just realised that I've been viewing GBF only under the General category, assuming I suppose that General means 'everything' (all categories). Maybe not - been cross-comparing - not sure. Does this mean I've missed lots of fascinating discussions?

    Yes !
    I view under 'all discussions'. Looking at both that and 'general', 'general' misses some discussions that are included in 'all discussions'.

    Think about it... General is a category the same as any other category listed under the categories listed on the side bar of my GBF page and will be limited to those defined as 'general' whereas 'all discussions' (should) captures all threads.

    So that's another quirk - I don't have an 'all discussions' button - I obviously used to.

    “All Discussions“ is the left button underneath the Green Building Forum title at the top, not the list on the left

    I have always viewed under all discussions, whatever category a post is labelled with it is shown here (AFAIK)

    Yeah, I haven't got that at top, nor Search. And my smiling face is gone from each post. Next a leg drops off, then my memory goes ...

    I've always viewed under 'All Discussions' too. For the length of time fostertom has been on here it'll take him months to catch up on all the threads he has missed ;-)

    Ah, I've just discovered I *do* see that bar at the top if I'm not signed in. So I've emailed BWork at AECB to ask whether that's because dear Keith designated me (to AECB) as a Moderator (which I declined) - could also be why I alone see everyone's Whispers, intentional or accidental.

    Well! Thanks for raising that, FT. I have, until recently, been getting the 'All Discussions' option when I am signed in or out. I just tried signing in and Lo! - No 'All discussions' option. I think it's a recent quirk of the ageing software. (But of course I know nothing about software).

    Just got an email from AECB - 'your a/c details have changed'. Perhaps I'm no longer considered a Moderator, because I now have that missing bar at the top, and hopefully won't be seeing private messages any more!
