    OK i've read the links and PAHS & AGS certainly look interesting but I am not sure I have the balls to go for it. I'm tempted to stick with just super-insulating all round.

    I wonder has anybody built with strawbale here? What were your rough build costs and what was your final heating requirements? I guess using strawbale could give a cost saving of around £10k on the walls, which if re-distributed into windows, doors, insulation could give you a comparable build cost to a conventional build.
