I know I am a little late to the party but I can perhaps be helpfull with someone very basic guidelines for any future enquiries.
First a disclaimer, I own Tubzzz which firm is a competitor in this market so I am NOT completely impartial.

-light in =light out, less a little for "friction". Sadly, there is no amplification. If it is cloudy outside, your "tubed" interior will not magically resemble Honolulu.

-the longer the tubing, the more the light loss.

-the straighter the better. If you have a straight shot, the rigid tubing is noticably better than flexible BUT!!! costs up to double for the same job.

-The bendy type tubing is easier to work with for bendy applications and is not appreciably less effective.

-Even at the lowest end of the pricing, and as fast as energy prices are rising, buying a sun tube is not an economic coup. The light is more attractive and even healthier but the savings are not huge vs.an efficient light bulb.

    hi

It is true to say that flexi sun tubes are popular- but only by those installing.

There is no comparison when comparing rigid with flexible tubing- the fact remains- the Rigid wins hands down.
