Apparently...several C&F wind turbines about to be/have been taken down in ROI, and another one threw a blade in Northern Ireland - during the high winds last week!

My irish mole, is investigating further! - keep u all posted "on the best turbines in the world"

    Ooooer...

But you do have to have some sympathy for them, given...

After the 'Proven' thread, and to perhaps re-visit my scepticism over wind (although not the plans for unlimited proliferation), I spent some time looking around the market and C&F did appear to be well thought of, so perhaps it's unfortunate that a possible design fault has chosen to manifest itself all at once?

As you say, Paul, watch this space.
  1.
I have been watching a neighbours 6kw C&F for the last few months as I am looking for a suitable turbine and while I have been impressed with its performance in low wind i.e.<5m/s, the turbine seems to stall regularly in winds >10m/s.
I'm due to meet the owner for a chat soon as the turbine will be up a whole year shortly and he will have some hard data on how it has performed.

Latest update on a problem with a C&F Wind Turbine that threw a blade few months back. Apparently the very same C F 6kw (?) turbine has'nt been working that well, and is being fixed - again!

    Note: blades off in pic.

Seems that C&F R&D is being conducted by their customers...
