Just a reminder, if anyone was thinking of applying. The EST (DECC) website, online application process for RHPP voucher scheme, went live at 1000 hrs today 1 Aug.

And my heatpump which was installed at end of June does not qualify!!!

Just because I cannot tick the box that says:-
"I confirm that my installation was not commissioned for the first time prior to 21st July 2011".

That's a bit rubbish. Ever since we started looking at GSHP back in 2009 everyone has been saying there would be a grant available towards the initial cost.

Have I missed something? What about all the people who installed heat pumps in the last year or two?

And I could complain about how I was doubly-disadvantaged with my PV install spanning the start of FiTs.

Yes, the government is quite unnecessarily hurting the very early adopters that it claims to want to encourage; I for example will probably now not even contemplate solar thermal (and maybe a heat-pump) until everything is down in black and white for fear of being taken advantage of again.

I wish that someone at DECC and the Treasury would actually pay attention to the bad taste they create in the course of saving relatively little cash. They are training people to wait and wait and wait until everything's settled...

No harm in applying Damon. It's straightforward and the £300 voucher is valid for 3 months even if eventually you decide against it. All you need is a simple MCS compliant quote to work from.
