    I'm not sure this is quite the right place, but if anyone wants to get their skates on there's some quite decent dosh and at least 7 roles that I can see, advising DECC/MacKay/etc.

    In advanced search put in DECC as the department.

    Don't get too excited, as the majority of those posts seem to be in band C (probably C2s, rather than C1s) and even the most senior job is only an AD post (grade 6). Take it from a recently retired, fairly senior, Civil Servant that even the highest level post amongst that lot hasn't got any real clout and won't get the ear of anyone significant.

    Also, bear in mind that direct recruits into the Civil Service at the higher grades generally start at the bottom of those pay scales, and pay is currently frozen in the public sector for a year or two, so future pay rises are unlikely to be particularly high. The pension for new starters isn't that good now, either. This may be the same for the public sector, though.

    Funny idea of the SW they have, seems it stops at Weymouth, Taunton, Bristol :devil:
