    I've just found out that Shetland Wind Power have gone bust. It's like a meltdown of Scottish wind turbine installers/manufacturers at the moment.

    Plenty of support from all the other bill- and tax-payer-subsidy sources though. And if they were as successful as their website maintains one has to ask what the real problem was...

    No Brian, I'd say not. Actually I'd like to put more cash in that but my hands are tied this time around.

    Ecotricity in in generation rather than manufacturing, ie it's a steady old utility which is basically as safe as one can get in practical terms.

    Were they just an installer? rather than a manufacturer, they could be 'Phoenixing' because of outstanding liabilities. What I would do.
