    In the Victorian age there were 2 million horses in the UK, today there are 1 million

    Depending on where the stables are, you could think about joining with others to form a coop and run a biogas operation of somekind. The compost that is created as a by product of the digestion can be put back onto the fields to complete the cycle.

    Some great ideas thank you all very much.
    My friend is, unusually for a young person not at all keen on computers (probably because she is out with horses all day) but she called round yesterday and was very impressed with all the thoughts and ideas, now just have to persuade her to use her computer and do the research!
