Ben, like you I recently cleared and organized the site. I found it made a huge difference and brought great clarity and inner peace!
Have also found an excellent carpenter/joiner who is happy to work alongside me and adopt my harebrained ideas, again being able to share the load is a huge relief.
    May your project continue apace.

BTW, the other job I was offered was as a wind turbine technician / installation manager for a small but quickly growing company in Yorkshire. If anyone is interested in the job whisper me and I will pass on the details. A great company with ambitious plans. You just need to have a good head for heights!

They are looking for an electrical background ideally with some computer networking skills (The turbines send performance and maintenance data through a VPN)

    Great news Ben,

I hope the final part of the build goes a little more relaxed than upto now.

Well done Ben, you see things always do work out in the end, not that you didn't work damn hard to get there :-) You didn't mention where the new job is located? Do you have to travel away from home during the week?

I hope you are starting to get your head around actually living in the new house rather than selling it, you have created a beautiful thing and you deserve to reap the rewards!

    Hi Phil,

No luckily I got a position that is based from home. I do have to go into the company workshop which is about 50miles away but once I'm up and running I just manage my own workload. Most sites I will service are in Sheffield and West Midlands so not to horrendous.

I think we are definitely going to live in the house and I am rather looking forward to seeing it finished now.

It will be nice to take pleasure in watching skilled tradesmen do their thing (fingers crossed!)

    Ben

I'll second that Triassic. I have often wondered how Ben is doing.
