Planing to have a low sloped metal covered roof over the hall, and as a last minute design addition wondering how I can add a porch canopy slate covered roof (to match rest of house) over the front door at the high end of the slope. The resulting shape is an asymmetric pitched roof with metal on the shallow (5°) side and slates on the steeper (37°). Not sure how to join them at the ridge?

This flat roof has been niggling me from the beginning, the slate canopy will improve the look (aligning with the rest of the roof) and protect the door users, but I am open to inspiring suggestions.
