For some reason I only just discovered this:

    http://europhit.eu/

I especially like http://europhit.eu/products-focus which gives a lot of strategies and thought points for how to incrementally retrofit.

    Anyone else used these resources?

I just learned that we've got our PH certification (more about that later) but as part of looking for more information about details, I discovered that not only does PHI have EuroPHit, which it has had for a while, but it now also has 'PHI Low Energy Building Standard'. That is not only quite a mouthful, but it has looser criteria and is intended for where buildings have been built in 'passivhaus style' or whatever but fail to meet the criteria. Gory details in http://passivehouse.com/downloads/03_building_criteria_en.pdf

That whole document looks eminently sensible and well thought out, as we've come to expect. The new LEBS (as surely we'll be calling it) is a very helpful move, which I'll read properly in bed tonight.

What I didn't find in that document was an explanation of exactly how PER works, nor even a link to such an explanation/definition.
