    Hello all you knowledgeable people!

I was hoping that somebody out there might have some information to divulge regarding substituting clay for lime as a binder in hemp and lime insulation.

Can it be done and achieve similar U-values?

Does it need a degree of lime to bind and set properly? Does this affect hygroscopic qualities?

Any help, links, etc. would be great!
