    Hi there,

FP solar collectors can be mounted in the roof but it seems that all ET collectors are mounted above the tiles.

Is there any reason why ET collectors cannot be mounted onto the roof of a new build? Obviously one would need to provide drainage, etc

It could be done but you would need to build a waterproof tray under the tubes -- this would likely cost more than the tiles presently used.

This outfit uses an epdm tray to integrate fps into roof, you may be able to adapt depending on rigidity or make up a tray then 3 layer felt or use one of the new single ply systems to cover inset area. http://www.earthwindfire.co.uk/index.html
