Has anyone got any knowledge on using recticel insulation sheets. It is much cheaper than celotex and kingspan and performs the same. i have spoken to their technical help and it all sounds great. just wondered if anyone has used it.

jewsons are selling it at £12 odd a sheet as opposed to £15 odd for kingspan (50mm).

Thanks, thought a GBF member would have asked!

Saw similar slightly better price at secondsandco.co.uk but their delivery charge might overide the saving

I'm looking for cheapest insulation to fill 200mm deep between rafters.

The headline lambda numbers are the same. Are you sure you are comparing equivalent thicknesses?

the price is £12.25 plus vat and for the 75mm £17.50 plus vat. So these are pretty good prices.

Go on, push the boat out , go for the 75mm

i am, but it is 75mm between the rafters and 50mm underneath. i am not doing 75mm under though.

Also regarding VB i am going to tape the celotex and use foil backed plasterboard. This should do the trick.

Travis perkins just called and they will do 50mm for £11.50 and 75mm for £16.30. i am amazed as they never give me competitive prices. they must be hurting !
