    Hello

I am looking for Timber Supplier / Sawmills in Perth & Kinross area to supply 200 square metres of cladding.I My preference would be in Larch due its durabilty and cost.

I am choosing a roughsawn sarking board for a rustic appearance and am considering fitting the boards flush to give a modern finish. I will be using a waterproof building paper/ membrane and any water ingress would run down the inside of the cladding. My other choice would be to overlap. I have seen flush boards fitted to some modern builds and think it looks great.

    Any contacts and advice appreciated.

    Thanks

    Evening ag

I use Russwood up in Newtonmore, mainly for Siberian Larch Decking and Scottish Larch framing timber. They can, I'm sure, supply Larch cladding. Their prices are not to bad also.

Second vote for Russwood timber, they supply Scottish larch cladding in a number of profiles. Their service is excellent and they would be able to advise on the most robust way of approaching the finish you want.

    ag,

just a thought about butting the boards (I think that's what you mean by flush), the boards will shrink over time, and so you will end up with 3 or 5 or 6mm gaps - quite variable. This may not look so good due to irregularity of gaps, and you'll see the battens/paper behind. If you go for this, maybe leave a slight gap to start with (shaddow gap), and use black building paper and paint the fixing battens black?
