Hi all, we have now got our timberframe up and are installing the windows prior to 100mm woodfibre EWI going on. I am stuck on the detail of where the EWI and lime render will meet the timber window, does anyone know of a tape or bead that can do the job??

render right up to the protected window frame ideally overlapping the frame a little with the insulation, forming a drip at the head etc.

I thought it was usual to leave a small gap between the lime render and the timber window, to be filled either with burnt mastic or a proprietary sealant according to preference?

Spoken to the helpful people at Ty Mawr and they recommend compriband strip to separate the EWI board and the window, the render is then applied up to the compriband with a champhered edge. This results in a good seal between the window and insulation and no contact of the lime onto the wooden window frame.
